Overview
Twitch Plays Pokemon Plays Tetris is a ongoing interactive live-stream event hosted on the free game streaming platform Twitch. The game played in the stream is the original 1989 Nintendo Tetris.
Layout
You will find the Twitch Plays Pokémon chat in the bottom right corner. You will also see the stream over the chat. In the left side, you will find the Tetris stream.

It is unknown what the creator uses.
Differences
Due to Up being a valid command in Pokemon Red/Blue, but not in Tetris, the game had to be counterfeit in such a way that it actually takes chat as input, also using "up" as a valid key for the game. It is not Vanilla tetris.
Up is now a valid command in Tetris, and will actually move blocks up. Chats such as "Anarchy" and "Democracy" will not be shown in the chat log.
