Overview
Vita Coco Piss Jar refers to a viral Twitter exchange between Mixed Martial Arts fighter Tony Posnanski and the verified Twitter account for the Vita Coco coconut water beverage brand. The exchange ended with Posnanski joking that he would rather consume urine than coconut water to which Vita Coco replied with a photograph of an employee holding a jar presumably containing urine with the implication that they would be sending the jar to Posnanski.
Background
On May 15th, 2019, Posnanski tweeted[1] a series of unpopular opinions that included "Coconut water is disgusting. Even if it is from a baby coconut." Countering Posnanski's point, Vita Coco responded, "Unpopular Opinion: there is such a thing as too many eggs." The tweet may refer to Posnanski's Twitter profile that reads, "Owner of an all you can eat egg restaurant."
After a series of insults, Posnanski said, "Fuck that. Save that nasty shit for someone else. I would rather drink your social media person piss than coconut water." Vita Coco responded with a photograph of a woman who is presumably their social media director in a bathroom stall and holding a jar of yellow liquid. They captioned the picture "Address?" This final tweet received more than 2,000 retweets and 19,000 likes in 24 hours (shown below).[2]

Media Coverage
