About
Pedro.exe or Pedropaulo25471 is a parody creepypasta character in Roblox depicted as a Latino person wearing sunglasses and a Tails shirt that reads "Merry Christmas." In May 2021, an image of the character, in which it appears as if a player named pedropaulo25471 is being possessed by Pedro.exe, was posted to the /r/GoCommitDie subreddit, inspiring memes over the following years. Pedro.exe's name is a play on other ".exe" creepypasta characters, namely Sonic.exe.
Origin
On May 5th, 2021, Redditor u/LeoTheEpicBrazilian posted a screenshot from Roblox to /r/GoCommitDie[1] showing a character who appears to be Latino named Pedropaulo25471 saying, "HELP ME PLZ IS PE--- Pedro.exe: I here HAHAHA," as if being taken over by a malevolent spirit known as Pedro.exe. The post, titled "Oh no Pedro.exe is here," garnered over 1,300 upvotes in four years.
Spread
The Pedro.exe image garnered viral spread over the following years, with the character becoming the subject of further memes. On May 26th, 2021, the image was posted to /r/YoungPeopleROBLOX,[2] garnering over 275 upvotes in four years.
On March 25th, 2022, Ehtma Reiner uploaded a reskin of the "Phantasm" mod for Friday Night Funkin' featuring Pedro.exe to GameBanana.[3] The creator uploaded a video of the mod to YouTube[4] that day, garnering over 95,000 views in three years.
On September 24th, Redditor u/natorious__ reuploaded a video to /r/GoCommitDie[5] that was originally posted by YouTuber[6] Jolly in August 2021 setting the original Pedro.exe image to eerie music, garnering over 1,100 upvotes in three years.
On April 23rd, 2024, TikToker[7] @stvhsu posted an animation depicting Pedro transforming into Pedro.exe, garnering over 800,000 views in nine months.

On July 26th, TikToker[8] @stelifoxx posted a video in which the Roblox character tubers93, who is a terrorist according to Roblox lore,[9] faces down Pedro.exe, garnering over 6.9 million views in six months.

In December 2024, Pedro.exe was added as a skin to the Roblox[10] experience Forsaken, a survival horror game. A gameplay video of the skin was uploaded to YouTube[11] by c00lkiddForsaken on December 30th, 2024, garnering over 50,000 views in a month.
