About

Fallen Kingdom is a series of Minecraft music videos created by Jordan Maron, also known as CaptainSparklez, and featuring music by Igor Gordienko, also known as TryHardNinja. Started in 2012 with the release of the original music video, it would later be followed up by three more sequels and a number of video edits that poked fun at its dramatic nature

History

Prior to "Fallen Kingdom," both CaptainSparklez and TryHardNinja garnered notoriety for their Minecraft song parodies, such as "TNT", a parody of the song "Dynamite" by Taio Cruz, and "Revenge", parodying the song "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love" by Usher featuring Pitbull, both of which have received hundreds of millions of views.

On April 1st, 2012, the first video in the "Fallen Kingdom" series, featuring a parody of the song "Viva la Vida" by Coldplay, was uploaded to Youtube, garnering over 116 million views within the next seven years.

Spread

"Fallen Kingdom" would later be followed up by three sequels: "Take Back the Night" in 2013, which garnered over 127 million views, "Find the Pieces" in 2015 which accumulated 35 million views (shown below, left and right).

On November 19th, 2016, CaptainSparklez published the third sequel, and final part of "Fallen Kingdom, "Dragonhearted." The post received more than 33 million views in less than five years (shown below).

On November 25th, 2016, a video that compiled all 4 installments in the series was uploaded to Youtube, gaining 24 million views in the following years.
