Verity variants are a series of fan-created color-coded versions of the Verity character from the Minecraft horror ARG and web series of the same name. The variants retain Verity’s distinctive floating yellow smiley-face design while assigning different colors, names and personalities to the character.

The most common variants include Falsity, a blue version associated with lies and misleading information; Cruelty, a red or dark version portrayed as aggressive or violent; and Lovity, a pink version characterized by affection and romantic behavior. The Verity variants spread across TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Roblox communities through fan animations, Minecraft mods, custom logic videos and personality or mood quizzes.

Origin

Verity originated as a Minecraft horror ARG and web series created by YouTuber ThatMob, with the first episode uploaded on May 30th, 2026. The character is depicted as a floating yellow smiley-face AI described as a “personal helper friend” who initially presents itself as helpful and seemingly omniscient before becoming increasingly creepy, obsessive and monstrous.^[1]

As the Verity fandom expanded, creators began developing alternate versions of the character distinguished by different colors and personalities. Falsity became associated with the color blue and misleading information, while Cruelty was depicted in red or darker colors and portrayed as hostile toward Verity. Lovity emerged as a pink, affectionate counterpart. Additional variants were subsequently created by fans, expanding the concept into a larger collection of “-ity” characters.^[1]
