About

First Class is the name of a song and TikTok trend created by Jack Harlow. The song is a mix of original content from Jack Harlow and the song Glamorous by Fergie, which is where the name and chorus come from. The song is mostly used with the official dance on TikTok, with secondary uses being thirst trap posting.

Origin

The song was released first as a snippet on TikTok, with an accompanying dance shortly following, before the wider release of the song itself on airwaves. On March 31st, 2022, Jack Harlow's official TikTok account posted a snippet of the song along with a video[1] of him in the studio dancing to it as a teaser, earning 4.3 million likes in two weeks (shown below).

Spread

On April 1st, 2022 the TikTok account abbiefrank did a lyric breakdown and explained how he incorporates the lettering from Glamorous, right before the First Class is sung, with all of it lifted directly from the song, earning 1.4 million likes for her analysis[2] (shown below).

On March 5th, 2022, Jack Harlow posted another video[3] of himself with the same snippet of the song, this time of behind the scenes of him learning the dance with a choreographer, with the caption teasing that the full song will be available on Friday, March 8th, 2022. The video itself earned over 4.2 million views in four days and helped establish some official footwork for others to copy during their renditions (shown below).
