​On April 17, 2025, a mass shooting occurred during a at Florida State University in Tallahassee, resulting in two deaths and six injuries. According to NBC news,^[1] the suspect in custody is 20-year-old FSU student Phoenix Ikner, the son of a Leon County sheriff's deputy. Ikner reportedly used his mother's former service handgun in the attack, and was shot and apprehended by police after refusing to surrender.

Also on April 17th, a video of a person walking by a bleeding body while sipping on a Starbucks coffee began making the rounds online. The video shows a person recording a young woman lying bleeding on the grass next to a footpath. The camera then shows the Starbucks drink in the person recording's hand, and shows them taking a sip from it as they walk by the body.

X^[3] account @Ready_Breaking was one of the first to share the uncensored footage of the person strolling past a shooting victim, gathering over 2,000 likes in a day.

X^[2] user @CollinRugg posted a censored version of the video on April 17th, as well as additional footage that appears to show the bleeding young woman moving and responding to a police officer.

On April 17th, 2025, X^[5] user @doublecupdm tweeted, "whoever the dickhead is at FSU that filmed that girls body on the floor and jus walked by w your starbucks drink like nothing, fuck you." The post gathered over 160,000 likes in a day.
