On April 6th, 2021, Facebook user Jejene Narumpa published the earliest available version of the video, which was reportedly shot by Narumpa Tangsin in a supermarket in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.[1] The post 8,600 shares, 3,000 reactions and 2,000 comments in less than one week (shown below).

The following day on April 7th, 2021, the Daily Mail[1] reported on the video, naming Tangsin as the recorder of the incident. That day, Twitter user @torben_kassler tweeted the video with the caption, "Me when someone shows up in the supermarket without a mask." The post received more than 9.1 million views, 57,000 likes and 19,000 retweets in less than one week (shown below).

Additionally, on April 7th, YouTube account Viral Press published the video on YouTube, where it received more than 300,000 views in less than two days (shown below). That day, Redditor flyart shared the video in the /r/WTF[2] subreddit, where it received more than 52,000 points (94% upvoted) and 2,300 comments in less than two days.
