Gimme My Lime or Gimme My Lime Screamer refers to a series of memes on TikTok inspired by the Lime Lips meme and a drawing of a girl with lime lips saying "gimme my lime." The trend, often set to the song "Lemonade" by SOPHIE, has users draw or photoshop the lime lips onto someone, then an internet screamer sound effect plays on a loop. The trend became popularized throughout February 2023 following a viral video on TikTok.

Origin

On October 26th, 2022, TikToker^[1] @fireistired posted a stitch to a video of a girl claiming that nobody ever draws the rest of the face on lime lips drawings, showing a poorly drawn image of a girl with lime lips saying, "Gimme my lime," garnering over 3.1 million views in five months (shown below). The image became notably prevalent in lime lips memes in February 2023. For example, on February 4th, 2023, TikToker^[2] @gimme.lemonade posted a compilation video set to "Lemonade" by SOPHIE referencing the drawing, garnering over 490,000 views in a month.

On February 7th, 2023, the same TikToker^[3] posted a video photoshopping the lime lips onto the possessed girl from The Exorcist, looping a screamer sound effect and garnering over 123,000 views in a month (shown below). This is the earliest known video to add the screamer to the trend.

The trend then became popularized over the course of February 2023 following its resurgence on TikTok. On February 14th, 2023, TikToker^[6] @heybooheybooheyboo posted a version of the meme, garnering over 520,000 views in two weeks (shown below).

On February 20th, 2023, TikTokers^[4][5] @syphez and @purplefloppedxo posted videos where they photoshop the lime lips on two videos of women eating and then play the scream sound, garnering over 1.2 million views and 959,000 views respectively in a week (shown below, left and right).
