About
The Gingerbread Nails Filter was a creative filter on TikTok that showed a video of a person showing off their gingerbread-man-inspired fingernails with his penis out underneath the hand. The filter went viral in late June 2024 and was purportedly made by TikToker @gingerbreadnailsfilter, who also made a filter titled "Preppy Hearts" that displayed two Roblox characters dancing with a naked, twerking woman in the top-left corner.
Origin
The filter was released around June 18th, 2024, but has since been deleted from TikTok. One of the earliest known videos reacting to the filter was posted by TikToker[1] @user134698421083, garnering over 4.5 million views in two weeks (shown below).

The filter continued to inspire reactions over the following days. On June 19th, 2024, TikToker[2] @osrvfx posted a video reacting to the filter, garnering over 1.3 million views in two weeks (shown below, left). On June 25th, TikToker[3] @randelladuh posted a video describing the filter, garnering over 1.3 million views in a week (shown below, right).

On June 30th, 2024, TikToker[4] @shaybaby500 posted a video asking about the filter that gained over 151,000 views in two days (shown below).
