GONE WRONG GONE SEXUAL refers to a media title meme that parodies clickbait titles popular with YouTube prank channels. The phrase grew popular as a joke post title or quote in the late 2010s. A notable early user of the phrases was YouTuber SoFloAntonio.

Origin

Various YouTube prank channels used the phrase "Gone Sexual" and "Gone Wrong" in parentheses before the year 2015.^[1][2][3]

On December 1st, 2015, Twitter^[4] user @Syndicate posted a tweet that read, "Epic kissing prank gone wrong in the hood (gone sexual) social experiment ft. rape (WITH GUNS) ever! – LMFAO YouTube 2015," gathering over 1,000 likes in over eight years (seen below).

On April 2nd, 2015, YouTube^[5] channel h3h3Productions uploaded a commentary video on YouTuber SoFloAntonio (shown below). In the video, Ethan Klein noted that SoFloAntonio often adds sexual clickbait to his video titles, including the tags (GONE WRONG) and (GONE SEXUAL). The video received over 5.4 million views in 6 years.

A December 26th, 2016 meme posted by Instagram page @bossofmemes used the caption, "shepherd prank gone sexual gone wrong in the hood," gathering over 6,000 likes in over seven years.^[6] A March 5th, 2017 post by Instagram page @aliensinmybutthole used the caption, "Gold Digger Prank Gone Wrong(I blew up her car) Gone Sexual (Cops Called) Almost Shot 3," gathering over 78,000 views in over six years (seen below).^[7]

On May 19th, 2018, Instagram^[8] page @whomstd.v1_ posted a slideshow of YouTube thumbnails with the caption, "DO NOT ORDER THE DAME TU COSITA FLESHLIGHT!!! (HE SUCKED AND CHOPPED OFF MY DICK REAL ALMOST DIED GONE WRONG GONE SEXUAL" The post gathered over 1,300 likes in over five years (seen below).
