Goofy Ahh Pictures refers to a series of images associated with the 21st Century Humor, especially the catchphrase Goofy Ahh, which mainly features photoshopped photos using fish eye perspectives selfies or bizarre perspectives. The format grew popular in mid-2023 on TikTok and Reddit, spawning memes and montages inspired by shitposting and brainrot humor.

The exact first use is unknown but it appeared on X / Twitter[4] as early as 2012. however, on June 7th, 2023, Tenor[1] user @averagenutsenjoyer posted a photoshopped version of the Staring Fish meme, titled "Goofy Ahh Pictures Meme," which is described as a "a fish with a beret and mustache is holding a baguette." The image is one of the earliest mentions of "goofy ahh pictures" as a meme.
Spread
Images labeled as "goofy ahh pictures" grew popular as a brainrot and shitposting meme format on social media, usually featuring fish eye perspectives selfies or characters with large lips. For instance, on July 31st, 2023, TIkTok[2] user @star_2fool posted a series of images titled "goofy ahh pfp photos," amassing roughly 443,000 plays and 4,800 likes in two years.
