This meme originated from an Irish news report from the national broadcaster RTE. The news was covering a story on the increasingly bad weather during January 2010. During the broadcast a reporter gives a voice over on how the ice and snow had effected the whole country while a clip runs on screen. The clip is of a man walking along a foot path carrying a shopping bag who suddenly slips and falls on the ice landing quite violently on his head.
