A Hot Girl Walk is a slang term and TikTok trend referring to the act of walking, typically a distance of four miles, while thinking about what you're grateful for, your goals and how to achieve them and reminding yourself how beautiful you are, also used as a form of exercise. The hot girl walk was defined by TikToker @exactlyliketheothergirls in February 2021 and became increasingly popularized on the app in early 2022.


On February 25th, 2021, TikToker[1] @exactlyliketheothergirls posted a video where she says she lost weight by going on "hot girl walks," and then describes what a hot girl walk is. She describes a hot girl walk as a "4-mile mindfulness walk" where you can only think of things that you're grateful for, how hot you are and things that you want to achieve. She says it's about "building confidence" and encourages walkers not to listen to podcasts while walking so they can be alone with their thoughts (shown below). The video gained over 596,000 views in a year.


Hot girl walks spread across TikTok over the following year. On June 22nd, 2021, TikToker[4] @cearakirk posted a video about going on hot girl walks, gaining over 190,000 views in 11 months (shown below).

Videos about going on hot girl walks increased throughout 2022. On February 21st, 2022, TikToker[5] @itsgretawilson posted a video of her hot girl walk, gaining over 100,000 views in three months (shown below, left). On May 3rd, TikToker[6] @emmaconnolly posted a video showing her dad on a hot girl walk, gaining over 2.8 million views in three weeks (shown below, right).

On May 5th, The New Your Post[3] wrote about the hot girl walk. On May 11th, TikToker[7] @spencer.barbosa posted a skit about going on a hot girl walk, gaining over 1.5 million views in two weeks (shown below). On May 25th, Elle[2] published an article about the hot girl walk.
