I Want To Go To There is a catchphrase coined by Tina Fey's character Liz Lemon on the 2009 NBC TV show 30 Rock. Liz Lemon originally delivered the line after she met a handsome neighbor who likes to bake pies. The phrase picked up virality on TikTok in September 2022 to signify mysterious or alluring places people would like to visit in various lip-dub skits.

Origin

On February 5th, 2009, season three, episode 10 of the show 30 Rock aired on NBC. The episode was titled "Generalissimo" and followed Liz as she discovers that she has a handsome single neighbor. Upon meeting him and discovering that he also likes to bake sweets, she delivers the line "I want to go to there." The scene was uploaded to the YouTube[1] channel "30 Rock Official" on January 30th, 2020, and has gathered over 60,000 views in the two years since (seen below).

On August 30th, 2022, TikToker[2] @britneyforprez posted a video using the audio from the aforementioned scene to describe how Kanye West must have felt before he rushed to join Taylor Swift on stage at the 2009 VMAs. His upload gathered over 500,000 plays and 30,000 likes in nearly a month (seen below).

On September 14th, 2022, TikToker[3] @jenna_michal posted a video using the sound clip to make a video about driving through the state of Georgia. Her video gathered nearly 500,000 plays and 100,000 likes in two weeks (seen below, left). On September 15th, TikToker[4] @aveelh posted a video using the sign to talk about the glass box above the sign at most Walgreens. Her upload gathered nearly 400,000 plays and over 100,000 likes in two weeks (seen below, right).
