I Was Born with Glass Bones and Paper Skin refers to a quote from a June 2002 episode of the cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants, when Con Man convinces Sponge Bob and Patrick that he has a horrible disease. The catchphrase is often used to describe heavily bandaged people, with some internet users posting cosplays inspired by the quote.

Origin

The SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Chocolate With Nuts" aired on June 1st, 2002. The episode[1] featured a character named "Con Man," a con man who repeatedly swindled Sponge Bob and Patrick, and eventually convinced them to buy his chocolate due to a medical condition that gives him "glass bones and paper skin."
