Ice Cream Dude first showed up on football 365 forums and was subsequently adopted by a variety of forums, notably squatjuice.com, in the form of an emoticon expressing disdain at the idiocy of a previous poster's views, or for how the poster themselves feel about the post they are making. It is a lot like the "ernie" or "spaz" faces of british playgrounds.
