I'm a Legend, Thanos refers to a memorable scene in which Squid Game character Thanos freestyles to flirt with a young woman, with one of the lines being, "I'm a legend, Thanos". In the weeks following the premiere of the second season of the show, the line achieved popularity as a spam comment, while the rap scene inspired various memes and references.
Origin
On December 26th, 2024, season two of the Korean survival thriller series Squid Game premiered.[1] In third episode of the season "001", Player 230, known as the rapper Thanos, is introduced. In one scene of the episode, Thanos flirts with Player 196, Kang Mi-na, freestyling for her (scene shown below). Thanos uses several English lines in his rap, including "I'm a legend, Thanos" (multi-language video shown below).

In the weeks following the premiere of the episode, the line "I'm a legend, Thanos" gained particular popularity as it was used as a spam comment, while the rap inspired fan art, memes, and remixes. On January 2nd, 2024, TikTok[2] user @srt_edits86 posted a video of Thanos saying the line in various languages that received over 1.2 million views in three weeks (shown below).

On January 4th, 2024, YouTube[3] channel DubCreation posted a fan-made music video based on the Korean and English versions of the scene. The video (shown below) garnered over 877,000 views in three weeks.
Various memes based on or referencing the scene were circulated on TikTok, Reddit, and other sites. For example, on January 19th, 2025, Redditor Hashtag_Emee posted an Avengers: Endgame meme referencing this and another scene from the show that received over 920 upvotes in the /r/squidgame[4] subreddit four days (shown below).
