I'm Gonna Take My Time or the "Sensual Seduction" TikTok Trend is a lip-dub trend on TikTok set to the song "Sensual Seduction" by Snoop Dogg where two people stare at each other, often at a table, with the camera cutting back and forth between them followed by them dancing together. In some videos, the two participants discuss something they shouldn't do that they both know they want or are going to do anyway. The trend began in late August 2022 and went viral in September shortly after.

Origin

On August 21st, 2022, TikToker^[1] @sosdip posted a video set to "Sensual Seduction" by Snoop Dogg where she sits at a table with another woman. The camera cuts between the two, staring at each other blankly, followed by the two dancing by bobbing their heads back and forth as Snoop Dogg sings, "I'm gonna take my time." The video gained over 36,000 views in three weeks and is the earliest known video participating in the trend.

Spread

The trend spread over the following weeks, with the sound for "Sensual Seduction" wracking up over 170,000 uses on TikTok by September 15th, 2022, although not all of them are participating in the same trend. On September 5th, YouTuber MrBeast posted a collab to TikTok^[2] doing the trend with the Corn Kid, garnering over 35 million views in a week (shown below, left). On September 6th, Kylie Jenner then posted a video on TikTok^[3] doing the trend with her mother, Kris Jenner, garnering over 35 million views in a similar span of time (shown below, right).

Some TikTokers also added captions over the videos where they discuss something they shouldn't do with the other person that they both know they're going to do anyway. For example, on September 9th, 2022, TikToker^[4] @brookemonk_ posted a video like this, garnering over 16 million views in six days (shown below).
