About
Corn Kid or Corn Child refers to a viral video of a young boy who expounds upon his deep love for the vegetable corn. Many online found the video adorable and wholesome, particularly phrases the child uses such as "corntastic day" and "I can't imagine a more beautiful thing," when it was uploaded in early August 2022. In the following weeks, musicians and YouTubers Schmoyoho remixed the video's audio into a song, which itself went viral on TikTok shortly after.
Origin
On August 4th, 2022, YouTube channel Recess Therapy posted a video in which a host interviews a child who expounds upon his love of corn. In the video, the child uses several memorable phrases, including, "I can't imagine a more beautiful thing," "Not everyone has to like it, they just have to try it" and "I hope you have a corntastic day!" The video gained over 293,000 views in three weeks (seen below).
Spread
The video primarily went viral thanks to the TikTok account @doingthings, which reposted Recess Therapy's video the same day on August 4th, 2022. There, it gained over 3.4 million likes in three weeks (shown below).

Corn Kid's clip was also posted to Twitter in early August 2022. As the video continued to spread across social platforms, many Twitter users expressed how wholesome they found the child. For example, on August 4th, Twitter user Thomas Sanders[1] tweeted, "didn't expect a video about corn to make me tear up but here we are," gaining over 100 retweets and 1,800 likes in three weeks (shown below, left). That same day, Twitter user @LadyMenopause[2] wrote, "I'M DEAD AND I AM NOW IN HEAVEN, EATING CORN," gaining over 10 retweets and 50 likes in a similar timeframe (shown below, right).
Corn Kid TikTok Song
On August 19th, 2022, TikToker @schmoyoho, behind the well-known Autotune the News series, posted a video in which they remixed the corn boy's dialogue into a song called "Corn but it becomes a song and unites world," gaining over 3.5 million likes in four days (shown below).

Over the following four days, the sound was used in over 22,000 videos. Some popular examples include a video by pokemonmasterzo that gained over 708,000 likes in one day (shown below, right) and a video by @jballsss that gained over 508,000 likes in one day (shown below, right).
