I'm Not Playing Fighting Games to Cum, Bro, is a catchphrase used in a series of memes, including reaction images, based on a viral X / Twitter post by user @CONEY in which he says, "I'm not playing fighting games to cum, bro" in response to a sexually charged comment about the Street Fighter 6 character Juri. The post was made in June 2023 and became the subject of memes over the following months, including reaction images, which have been shared in response to posts expressing lust for fighting game characters.

Origin

On June 2nd, 2023, X^[1] user @CONEY quote-reposted a video of Juri from Street Fighter 6, writing, "Every Modern Juri player gets an 'lmao ok' from me," garnering over 2,000 likes in a year. X user @KIDGoggles responded, "That's just to distract you from the fact that she's got a fatty in the back. Real ones are staying at the cake first." CONEY replied back, "I'm not playing fighting games to cum bro," garnering over 4,800 likes and 1,000 reposts in a year (shown below).

Spread

The post quickly became the subject of memes in the following days and months. On June 2nd, 2023, X^[2] bot @MakeItAQuote posted a quote edit of the post text, garnering over 290 likes in a year.

On February 3rd, 2024, X^[3] user @BobbyWasabi posted a version of the "Don't Make Me Tap the Sign" meme in which the sign is replaced with the post in response to an X user complaining about the Granblue Fantasy: Relink localization featuring "toned down" outfits, garnering over 31,000 likes in five months (shown below). On February 4th, it was reposted to the subreddit /r/Kappachino,^[4] garnering over 200 upvotes in the same span of time.

On June 9th, 2024, X^[5] user @JooberW posted another reaction image featuring the quote over CONEY's face in response to a post about a person who picks the characters in fighting games that they find attractive, garnering over 18,000 likes in a month (shown below).
