I'mma Start Biting People or Fuck Being The Bigger Person, I'mma Start Biting People most commonly refers to the caption attached to an image macro of young Goob from Meet The Robinsons with an evil look on his face. The image macro was first posted to Instagram by boomer.jim in December 2020 and went viral through reposts over the following year, inspiring new, similar image macros and memes using the catchphrase over different images. The phrase was first used in a meme on Instagram in July of the same year by beelovespossums.
Origin
The exact origin of the phrase is unknown. On July 25th, 2020, Instagram[5] page beelovespossums posted an image macro of a possum in a dresser drawer with the caption "fuck being the bigger person, I'ma start biting people" gaining over 7,700 likes in a year (shown below). The meme was reposted to Tumblr[6] on July 29th, gaining over 11,400 notes in the same span of time.
On December 6th, 2020, Instagram[1] meme page boomer.jim posted an image macro of young Goob, the villain of the animated film Meet The Robinsons, gnashing his teeth and looking angry at a table captioned "fuck being the bigger person, I'mma start biting people," gaining over 75,000 likes in a year (shown below).
Spread
The meme was reposted numerous times that month, notably by Instagram[2] page c999ursed on December 7th, gaining over 112,000 likes in a year, and to /r/okbuddyretard[3] the same day, gaining over 5,500 upvotes in the same span of time. On the same day, Instagram[4] user shawnnslyfe posted a screenshot showing a DM using the meme, gaining over 12,000 likes in a year (shown below).
On January 3rd, 2021, Instagram[7] user ch0mkus posted an image macro using the caption over an image of a scary looking raccoon, gaining over 20,000 likes in 11 months (shown below, left). On February 7th, Instagram[8] page nocturnaltrashposts posted another raccoon version of the meme, gaining over 14,800 likes in 10 months (shown below, right).
