Ink Emergency is a brainrot meme format based on an advertisement for the Epson EcoTank printer that begins with former basketball player and sports analyst Shaquille O'Neal (Shaq) looking at the ink in a printer and saying, "Ink emergency!"

The ad was uploaded to the Epson America Instagram page in mid-July 2026. It became the subject of surreal brainrot edits on TikTok about a week after its original upload. The edits are meant to be as absurd as possible and typically feature edited audio, visual filters and clips from other prominent brainrot memes.

On July 14th, 2026, the epsonamerica Instagram^[1] page posted an advertisement for the Epson EcoTank printer that gained about 115 likes in two weeks. The ad starts with Shaq saying, "Ink emergency!"

On July 22nd, TikToker^[2] @lts_huey posted a brainrot edit of the ad, which edits in clips from other brainrot memes like the Sheldon Lee Cooper You Dog meme and the I Am An Architect meme, garnering over 124,000 views in a week.

On July 24th, 2026, TikToker^[3] @larpscapes posted a brainrot edit based on the clip that gained over 379,000 views in five days.

On July 25th, TikToker^[4] @davib2829 posted a brainrot edit of the clip that begins with a video clip about the value of ink, garnering over 174,000 views in four days.

On July 28th, TikToker^[5] @kermitgthofficial posted a photograph of a Shaq cutout advertising the Epson printer at a store, captioning it, "Yo it's the Ink Emergency guy," garnering over 275,000 views in a day.
