Just Eat UK's England Women's World Cup Tweet refers to a tweet that was posted by British buy and collect food company Just Eat who tweeted their support for the English Women's Football Team at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France.

The tweet resulted in condemnation from Scottish football fans and people overall to attack Just Eat for ignoring Scotland's presence in the tournament when the company is a UK-wide company.

Ahead of England and Scotland's debut at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup at their first match on June 8th, 2019, Just Eat, a British food order and collect company tweeted their support for the England's Women Football Team (see below).

Public reaction

After the tweet was released, a considerable amount of Scottish people, mainly Scotland's football fans took to Twitter to express their dislike of the tweet.

Some had threatened or already uninstalled Just Eat and moved to Scoffable, a Scottish takeaway app similar to Just Eat.

In response to the criticism, Just Eat apologised for their tweet and had expressed support of all Home Nation teams (see below).

Scoffable

In response to the criticism given to Just Eat, many had boycotted the app and moved to Scoffable, a Scottish alternative to Just Eat.

Scoffable reacted to the criticism by humoursly mocking Just Eat's tweet by parodying it to show support for Scotland's women's football team and mocked that it was an own goal from Just Eat (see below).

Because of the new customers Scoffable were getting, they gave them 10% off on their next food deliveries.
