About

Kenpokun's Jeff the Killer Edits refers to a series of viral videos and exploitable memes featuring the work of YouTuber Kenpokun(9w9), a Japanese YouTuber known for posting cryptic and oddly edited videos using Jeff the Killer imagery. In 2025, Kenpo-kun's videos came to be used alongside DJ Toenail soundtracks in a series of notable TikTok and X memes.

Origin

The YouTube[1] channel @kenpokun9w9 was created on April 1st, 2015, however, the channel's earliest video[2] was uploaded on July 14th, 2019. The video shows a ghostly Jeff the Killer edit set to robotic voices that repeat a phrase similar to "Kenpokun."

The channel's description shows the YouTuber detailing their fears of being gangstalked:

Kenpo-kun have been a victim of gang stalking technology crime for the past 9 years, with Micro-nanomachine chips have been installed in all areas, and Kenpo-kun was stalked, monitored, and harmed. I was suffering from thought-tapping, voice transmission, and electromagnetic wave attack.

On November 23rd, 2019, YouTuber[3] Kenpokun uploaded a video showing a Jeff the Killer edit bobbing in front of the Sofmap logo, a popular Japanese electronic retailer. The video was set to a harmonica tune, possibly personally recorded by Kenpokun. The post gathered over 20,000 views in five years. and is the YouTuber's most viewed video to date.

Several internet users have discussed Kenpokun's videos and his use of Jeff the Killer imagery online, as seen in an August 14th, 2022, discussion on the subreddit /r/OriginalJTKImage[5] by Redditor /u/SwggerW that gathered over 380 upvotes in three years.

On August 19th, 2024, Redditor /u/Bobo_LOL posted a Kenpokun video to the subreddit /r/DeepIntoYouTube,[6] with several replies debating about the likelihood that the YouTuber suffers from a mental illness.
