Kurger Bing is an intentional misspelling of the fast-food restaurant chain Burger King which is referenced in jokes online in a similar fashion to Sbubby memes.

Origin

On December 13th, 2005, Urban Dictionary[1] user Snarky/Cutless Combo (#6) submitted an entry for "kurger bing," defining the terms as "Burger King when you are drunk" (shown below).

On January 17th, 2017, the Kurger Bing Facebook[2] page was created. On September 15th, Tumblr[3] user unavailableangel posted a photoshopped image of a Kurger Bing sign followed by a letter board with the announcement "Yes we are aware we got a fucked up sign thanks" (shown below). Within three years, the post gained over 240,000 notes.

On September 23rd, Redditor GreenBlazey reposted the image to /r/teenagers,[4] where it gathered upwards of 9,500 points (89% upvoted) and 120 comments prior to being archived. On April 22nd, 2018, YouTuber Diamlga posted a parody of a Burger King Foot Lettuce video titled "Kurger Bing Foot Lettuce" (shown below).

On July 31st, 2019, a Kurger Bing logo sticker was placed for sale on the online retailer RedBubble[5] (shown below).
