Logan Paul / Floyd Mayweather Kiss refers to jokes about a pre-match staredown between Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather ahead of their boxing match. At the staredown, Mayweather got very close to Paul's face, and when Paul attempted to back off, Mayweather stepped up again. This led to jokes and photoshops that the two were close to kissing.

Origin

On June 3rd, 2021, at a press conference ahead of their June 6th boxing match, Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather had an intense staredown. Paul attempted to back away, but Mayweather didn't let him, and the two held each other's gaze very close to the other's face.

After the staredown, Paul joked "He tried to kiss me!" on Twitter (shown below).

Over the following few days, jokes about the two's staredown continued over the following several days before the fight. User @beehhive^[1] posted a picture of Mayweather and Paul kissing (shown below, left), and later claimed that the picture got them blocked by Paul.^[2] Casey Neistat joked the pair should've kissed^[3] (shown below, right).

Jokes continued after the fight aired, due to the amount of time the two boxers spent in each other's embrace during the match. On June 7th, 2021, Redditor p3ty6n posted a photoshop of the two getting married, gaining over 70,000 points in /r/KSI.^[4] The same day, a piece of art posted in /r/beeple^[5] showing the pair kissing gained over 300 points (shown below, right).
