Man Walking His Parrots is a viral video of Yuba City, California resident Kenneth Khanh Du running with two scarlet macaws on leashes down the street. The video was posted by a passerby in January 2020 to Twitter and the video accumulated edits soon after.

Origin

On January 10th, 2020, Twitter user @johannperezz tweeted a video of a man running down the street with two birds on leashes with the caption, "thinking about him <3" (shown below). The video gained over 475,700 likes and 142,800 retweets in five days.

Spread

On January 11th, 2020, Redditor ThatAnonIrishMan reposted the video to r/youseethisshit^[1] and received over 970 points (93% upvoted) in four days. That day, Twitter user @AveeeBabyyy^[2] tweeted, "I knew this man was going to blow up someday so two years ago I took this #fame" with a picture of herself with Kenneth Khanh Du labeling him as the bird man (shown below).

On January 12th, Twitter user @EAzyTone11 posted an edited version of the video featuring the Pokémon theme song (shown below).

Kenneth Khanh Du^[4] reposted the video through his Facebook^[3] account, The Birdman & AverXise, with the caption, "CHECK THIS OUT! Someone videotape me running with my scarlet macaws along Stabler Lane in Yuba City, California! We do this daily. During the winter months & after work, as late as 9:00pm at night. IT WENT VIRAL! HAS OVER 5 MILLIONS VIEWS!!! " On January 14th, Instagram user Largetrap garnered over 61,424 likes in a day for their edited version of the video.
