Mater I Need Your Help or Lightning McQueen Needs Mater’s Help is a viral video where Lightning McQueen from Cars asks Mater to perform cock and ball torture (CBT) on him as low-quality and cursed images of the characters flash on the screen. The video was uploaded to YouTube in July 2022 and inspired numerous variations over the following months setting the audio to different visuals. It was created by YouTuber NINE-UP and TikToker @lukeydumper, who also created the similar Pull Off Your Skin video.

Origin

On July 22nd, 2022, YouTuber^[1] NINE-UP posted a video titled "Lightning McQueen needs Mater’s help," in collaboration with TikToker^[2] @lukeydumper. In the video, Lightning McQueen asks Mater to perform CBT on him by hooking his tow up to his cock and balls and pulling tight, threatening that he "might do something bad" if Mater doesn't comply (shown below). The video gained over 274,000 views in a month. It was uploaded to the @nine__up TikTok^[3] page the next day but only gained roughly 140 views in the same span of time.

Spread

The video was reuploaded several times over the following weeks and inspired variations where users set the audio to new visuals. On August 7th, 2022, YouTuber^[4] Back2Ben posted a remake of the meme, garnering over 100,000 views in a month (shown below, left). On August 10th, YouTuber^[5] ph.naroom posted an animated Roblox version of the meme, garnering over 3,000 views in a similar span of time (shown below, right).

On August 17th, NINE-UP posted a sequel to the video to YouTube.^[6] In the video, a text-to-speech voice says "Mater I need your help" twice over a static image of McQueen, then cuts to images of a wrecked car and a destroyed version of McQueen captioned "it was no accident" and "you were never my friend," garnering over 14,000 views in a month (shown below).
