About

Minecraft Blyat Kid Scream, also known by its Russian name Ой, мама пришла, is a viral video of a Russian kid loudly screaming "blyat" as an operator deletes his entire house from a Minecraft server. Online, the griefing video inspired remixes, memes and references throughout the latter half of the 2010s and early 2020s.

Origin

On August 13th, 2015, Russian Minecraft YouTuber[1] Sllada (Сллада) uploaded a video titled, "MOTHER CATCHES ANGRY SCHOOLKID" (name later changed to "Oops, Mom's Here." In the video, the YouTuber (nicknamed NARUTO_008) gets griefed by a school kid (nicknamed Girjiks) on a Minecraft server, who kills him and steals his items. After failing to convince the kid to return his items, Sllada griefs the kid in return by using his server operator (OP) powers, first destroying chests with Girjiks' possessions, then deleting his house and then putting him in a glass cage with the signboard "Animal" attached to it. The video accumulated over 9.4 million views in eight years (shown below).

When Sllada deletes the kid's house from the server, Girjiks reacts by loudly screaming "blyat" (Russian for "fuck") for several seconds. The scream cuts as the kid's mother enters the room, with the two then having an altercation.

[KID] Fuck, at least the chests upstairs are still there, fucking nice.
What are you… BLYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA- oops, mom's here.
[MOM] I'll give you "blyat," what the heck is this?
[KID] Mom, what are you- ouch! ouch!
[MOM] Turn your shit off right now, I'm so fucking tired of this.

In the following years, Sllada updated the video's description, claiming that the entirety of it was staged.

Spread

On August 21st, 2015, user Pumpur uploaded the clip of the house getting deleted and the kid's reaction to YouTube.[2] The upload gained over 2.1 million views in eight years.

More reuploads of the clip were made in the following years. For example, on February 22nd, 2016, YouTuber[3] Kannoli made a reupload that accumulated over 3.5 million views in seven years. On December 6th, 2018, the YouTube[4] channel Russian Classic Videos reuploaded a two-minute clip from Sllada's video that received over 1.2 million views in four years.

On May 13th, 2019, YouTuber[5] YoBoiYobert uploaded a sound effect video of the scream, which accumulated over 186,000 views in four years.

Over the years, the video gained recognition among both Russian and Western audiences, becoming a popular reference in memes. For example, on November 18th, 2019, Twitter[6] user @Entity____303 posted a still image from the video, writing, "RT if you can hear this image." The post (shown below, left) gained over 70 retweets and 150 likes in three years. On April 10th, 2022, Redditor[7] Jaxolon333 posted a meme that gained over 1,300 views in one year (shown below, right).
