"Mr. Squidward I Should Kick Your Fuckin' Ass" is a catchphrase originating from an Instagram meme of an exploited text conversation between the characters of SpongeBob SquarePants, originally uploaded in mid-2020. Later on, a voice-over video trend emerged using the phrase on YouTube and Instagram that had Mr. Krabs screaming the phrase at Squidward.
Origin
On August 12th, 2020, Instagram[1] user milkcannnn uploaded a meme made by Instagram[2] user imonlyten that recaptioned a mock text conversation between SpongeBob characters. The re-edited text was from Mr. Krabs and read, "MR. SQUIDWARD! I should kick your fucking ass." The post received over 90 likes in two years (shown below).

Later on August 12th, 2020, Instagram[3] user big_chungles reposted the meme, earning roughly 15,200 likes in two years. Roughly a year later, on April 6th, 2021, Instagram[4] user big_chungles uplaoded a new iteration, recaptioning Mr. Krabs' text to read, "Shut the fuck up." The meme received roughly 9,500 likes in 16 months (shown below, left). On April 18th, 2021, Instagram[5] user the_moon_landing_was_fake posted an iteration that inserted additional texts from Dragon Ball's Broly. The meme received roughly 2,100 likes in 16 months (shown below, right).
On June 12th, 2021, Instagram[6] user stonewallism uploaded a voiceover of the_moon_landing_was_fake's Broly meme, earning roughly 2,100 views and over 680 likes in 12 months (shown below).
On July 5th, 2021, YouTuber Silentmanjoe uploaded a short video in which Mr. Krabs, voiced by voice actor Marcus Shaw, says “Mr Squidward, I should kick your fuckin ass!" The video gained over 3.2 million views in less than two months (shown below).
On July 23rd, 2021, YouTuber Survive Archive uploaded the audio over footage of a real crab, gaining over 120,000 views (shown below). However, the audio began spreading more popularly on YouTube once users began adding it to SpongeBob clips. On July 25th, user Doompy posted an edit that gained over 1.1 million views (shown below, right).
One of the most prolific creators to use the meme to popular effect is YouTuber Stickmun, who on July 29th and July 30th, released two videos using the audio in SpongeBob clips that gained over 393,000 and 527,000 views, respectively. However, Stickmun's videos have since been removed.
