Murdercock refers to a theory in the Steven Universe fandom that Greg Universe murdered the sentinent space rock Rose Quartz by having sex with her and bringing Steven into the world, leading to Rose giving up her physical form. The theory implies that Greg's penis can kill gems and has grown as a notable injoke in the Steven Universe fandom.

Origin

The question of Steven Universe's conception has puzzled fans, as it's not directly addressed by the show. His biological father is Greg and his "geological mother" is Rose Quartz, a Crystal Gem who gave up her physical form to give birth to Steven.^[1] This led to the theory that by having sex with Rose, Greg essentially murdered her, hence the nickname "Murdercock." While the first reference to Greg as a "Murdercock" is unknown, comments using the term date back as early as April 2015 on Funnyjunk.^[2]
