The My Future Wife Is Probably Fake Laughing Copypasta or Be Patient Queen, A True Clown Is On The Way Copypasta is a copypasta reading, "My future wife is probably fake laughing at her boyfriend’s lame jokes rn. Be patient Queen, a true clown is on the way." The copypasta first started spreading on Twitter / X in 2018, including a gender swapped version reading, "My future husband is probably fake laughing at his girlfriend’s lame ass jokes rn. Be patient King, a true clown is on the way." It garnered viral spread over the following years, often as an ironic meme meant to make fun of the type of person who might post the quote genuinely.
Origin
The earliest known use of the copypasta online was posted by X[1] user @luucaii on May 7th, 2018, reading, "My future wife is probably fake laughing at her boyfriends lame ass jokes right now. Be patient Queen, a real clown is on his way," garnering around four likes in seven years. This may not be the true original.

The copypasta started to spread over the following months. For example, on July 10th, 2018, X[2] user @bigjalenciaga posted a gender swapped version reading, "My future husband is probably fake laughing at his girlfriend’s lame ass jokes rn. Be patient King, a true clown is on the way," garnering over 353,000 likes and 106,000 reposts in seven years. This is the earliest known example of the copypasta to gain notable virality.

Spread
The copypasta continued to spread over the following years, becoming largely ironic and considered cringe if used authentically. On August 1st, 2018, a screenshot of someone reposting the phrase on Facebook was posted to /r/niceguys,[3] titled, "this is my ex, and I've had shits more entertaining than him," garnering over 1,100 upvotes in seven years.

On January 29th, 2025, u/kundavai_ posted a meme to /r/bollywoodcirclejerk[4] using the copypasta in relation to an image of Salman Khan wearing sunglasses with greasy hair and a cigarette, garnering over 2,600 upvotes in two months. On March 3rd, X[5] user @Vinslays7 reposted the copypasta, garnering over 200,000 likes in two days.

On March 4th, X[6] user @mechafartzilla posted a piece of art attributing the copypasta to a drawing of Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z, garnering over 55,000 likes in a day.
