About

My name is Doof is a memorable scene from the american animated children’s show Phineas and Ferb where Doofenshmirtz uses a scientifically created video that hypnotizes the audience in the studio. The scene has since spawn remixes and Youtube Poop videos.

Origin

In the episode Phineas and Ferb Musical Cliptastic Countdown which was aired on October 12, 2009[1], Doctor Doofenshmirtz plays a video that he scientifically created to get stuck inside people's heads to hypnotize them into his bidding[2]. Perry the platypus manages to stop the video but not before all of the audience members getting hypnotized.

On October 15th, 2009, Youtube user Slugish911 uploaded a video titled "My Name Is Doof starring Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz" (shown below left) which contains the mentioned scene in the episode. As of April, 2015, the video has gathered more than 538.000 views[3]. Also, on October 15th, 2009, Youtube user uploaded iheartGIR234 one of the first looped versions of the video clocking at 10 minutes long. As of April, 2015, the video has gathered more than 900.000 views[4].
