Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz-inator refers to a two-panel image macro series featuring screenshots of the character Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz from the American animated series Phineas and Ferb. These memes utilize a running joke from the series in which Doofenshmirtz frequently adds the suffix "-inator" to commonly known subjects (similar to Whomst, Tuxedo Winnie the Pooh and Drakeposting).
Origin
The earliest known usage of the format was posted by Redditor [1] YoLeo_ posted two images of Doofenshmirtz, one of which him appearing disappointed by the words "Time Machine," and in the other, Doofenshmirtz is excited by the words "Time Travelinator," which better fits his character's running joke. The post received more than 16,000 points (97% upvoted) and 90 comments in two days (shown below).

Following the post, others on Reddit uploaded variations of the meme. For example, on May 12th, Redditor[2] Bean_Goose posted a Star Wars variation of the meme in the /r/prequelmemes subreddit. The post received more than 21,000 points (95% upvoted) and 110 comments in 24 hours (shown below, left). Redditor[3] wobblydee posted one that turns the word Instagram into the phrase "Repostinator." The post received more than 21,000 points (95% upvoted) and 75 comments in 24 hours (shown below, center). Additionally, that day, Redditor[4] Vishaalkm posted a joke about the film The Terminator. The post received more than 57,000 points (94% upvoted) and 250 comments in 24 hours (shown below, right).
