Origin

On May 6th, 2020, Nicholas Braun posted a video on Instagram asking followers to send in music to accompany lyrics he wrote for a song called "Antibodies." The post received more than 152,000 views and 8,000 likes in less than three months (shown below).

Spread

Two days later, Braun posted a series of videos of people playing music to the lyrics that received from followers. He captioned the image, "Some more "Antibodies" collaborators. Thanks for helping me figure out this song everybody: @pudagiah / @brooksallison / @notgracesherman / @yungheathz / @shmaelyn / @therealnickdotcom / @mackenziebourg." The post received more than 5,000 likes in less than three months (shown below).

On July 29th, 2020, Braun published a full music video of the song, which he produced. The video features clips that he received of people performing the song, as well as a narrative element that features him looking for someone that has "the antibodies." The post received more than 169,000 views in less than two days (shown below).

Several media outlets covered the song, including Variety,[1] Rolling Stone,[2] The Verge,[3] The Cut,[4] Deadline,[5] Fox News[6] and more.
