Part of a series on Theresa May. [View Related Entries]

About

Nothing Has Changed! refers to a phrase used by Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Theresa May. Despite only using the phrase once, it has been used as a meme by opponents of Theresa May and the Conservative Party.

Origin

Speaking at the launch of the Welsh Conservatives' election manifesto on May 22nd, 2017 ahead of the 2017 United Kingdom general election which was called by Theresa May, she had hit back over speculative claims that the Conservative Party would increase the price of social care if they won the election by telling the press conference that nothing had changed on the issue. (see video at 7 minutes, 40 seconds in)

Reaction

After the launch of the manifesto and after saying "nothing has changed", many of Theresa May's opponents and political cartoonists had mocked Theresa for her use of the words.
