About

NSFW Speedruns or Google Search Speedruns refers to a genre of Meme Speedruns in which users attempt to find a NSFW fan art of a character in Google image search results for that character as quickly as possible.

Origin

Prior to December 25th, 2020, YouTube user Vintage Lavender posted a now-deleted video[1] "Lopunny NSFW Speedrun (100 sub special)" in which they set up a timer and scrolled through Google Search results for "Lopunny" until finding a NSFW fan art of the Pokémon. The video received over 1.8 million views prior to being deleted.

In the following days, multiple YouTube[1][2][3] users submitted videos of humorous speedruns in which they attempted to find a NSFW artwork of Lopunny in image search results as quickly as a possible. On December 25th, 2020, YouTube[4] user Doorknob Slayer posted the earliest currently available speedrun footage that received over 56,000 views in six months (shown below, left).



Spread

On December 26th, 2020, YouTube channel My wife left me, so now i'm a Youtuber was launched,[5][6] posting a NSFW speedrun of Princess Peach as its second video (shown below, left). The video accumulated over 850,000 views in six months.

In the following months, the channel posted multiple NSFW speedrun videos of various characters. As of June 21st, 2021, NSFW speedrun[7] of Overwatch character Tracer remains the most popular video om the channel with 2.5 million views in five months (shown below, right).



In January 2021 and the following months, multiple viral NSFW speedrun videos were posted by My wife left me, so now i'm a Youtuber and other YouTube channels.
