About

Obsessed Fan From Swarm is an image macro and reaction image meme featuring actress Dominique Fishback as the character Dre from the Amazon Prime television show Swarm. The show follows Dre, an obsessive fan girl who goes to increasingly violent ends for her favourite pop star Ni'Jah. The meme shows Dre with her shoulders bare, wearing her hair half up in a bun while staring intensely at something above her. The meme first began making the rounds in March 2023, and continued to spread under the phrasal template "When I was 22 asking people X or Y at work" in June 2025.

Origin

The Amazon Prime television show Swarm, created by Donald Glover and Janine Nabers, debuted on March 17th, 2023. The account has since been suspended, although the post gathered several viral quote tweets and 3 million views in two years.
