About

Flashgitz is a YouTube channel focusing on animation run by two animators, Donald "Don" Jeremy Greger (from America) and Thomas "Tom" Edgar Hinchliffe (from England). They are known for their high-quality animations, which are usually satirical in nature, covering many topics from gaming to console fandoms, politics, and celebrities.

Origins

Their first YouTube video was an animation satirizing the tabletop game company GamesWorkshop and their habits (which are seen as anti-consumer). They would create and post more videos later, but their first video that truly managed to go viral was Racist Mario, a Mario Kart parody where Mario gets angry about non-Nintendo characters being allowed to participate in the race and then proceeds to kill all of them, including the Nintendo characters for being “race traitors.” It currently holds 163 million views. For the first years, the channel only uploaded videos in a short format and only covered a single topic at once, but in later years, longer videos would start to be uploaded that covered more than one topic, and soon regular series would be developed too.

Series

Console wars

A satirical series covering the late stages of the console wars, with alive representations of the various companies involved and their consoles and games.

Furry crusades

A series about the Black Templars Space Marine Chapter from Warhammer 40k attacking a planet entirely populated by furries.

Detective Pikachu

An animated parody of the eponymous movie portraying Pikachu as an overly stereotypical corrupt, and violent police officer patrolling a city and committing various acts of violence against other Pokémon.

Historically Accurate Disney

A series of videos parodying the movies of the Disney Renaissance era by including various trivia about the historical periods the movies are supposed to take place in.

The Weeb

A recurring character (representing a stereotypical otaku) starring in a series of videos parodying Mihoyo's gacha games like Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero.

Space King

An original series (the first of its kind for the channel) Heavily inspired by Warhammer 40k, it centers around a group of “Psycho-Warriors” (inspired by the Space Marines of Warhammer 40k), spaceborne armor-clad super soldiers that are able to come back to life by having their “globules” (their testicles) collected by a “Medicae” (and then inserted into a young boy host) as they search the galaxy for relics of Space King (a figure of worship for them). the series is entirely crowdfunded and has its own merch store.
