About
Geoffrey and Pauline Walker are an elderly married couple from England who frequently post about their day-to-day life on Instagram. The retired couple gained popularity in 2017 for their wholesome content and resurfaced on mainstream media again in February 2020 after Pauline Walker's purse was stolen.
Online History
On March 9th, 2014, the couple's Instagram account @geoffreywalk[8] posted uploaded their first picture to the platform which was of a bull. Over the next few years, Geoffrey Walker posted pictures of both his family and his wife to Instagram.[9][10] One image posted in March 2015 was captioned, "Day-out to Stratford on Avon with Pauline, wife and sweetheart for the last 65 years" (shown below) while another a year later was captioned, "We Love These Scamps" (shown below, right). The couple's Instagram account still remained under the radar until 2017.
On May 28th, 2017, Twitter user @LaurenSkell[2] posted some of the Walker's Instagram photos captioned, "This old man I know always posts insta's of his wife and they're so sweet bless himđ" (shown below). The tweet gained over 165,400 likes and 47,900 retweets in three years. The post caused the Walker's following count to rise.
On April 7th, 2018, the couple posted a video in which they show off their garden and received over 1,200 likes in two years (shown below, left). On October 27th, Geoffrey Walker filmed Pauline making teddy bear doorstops and posted the video which received over 2,200 likes in two years.
Stolen Purse
On February 8th, 2020, the Walkers posted a video captioned, "Someone has stolen Paulineâs purse from her bag while shopping in Coalville today. The bank has guaranteed return of all uauthorised transactions with her touch card so thatâs okay. If you find her her disagree purse pleas one of our family telephone numbers inside luckily she did not have a large amount of cash inside.â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸ #ilovethatgirl" (shown below, left). The video which features Pauline crying gained over 50,200 likes in three days on Instagram grabbed the attention of media outlets like the BBC[4] and the Daily Mail[3] who reported on the incident. The next day, the couple posted a video of Pauline thanking followers for their support (shown below, right). The video accumulated over 25,800 likes in two days.

Pauline and Geoffery Walker have gained over 128,000 followers on Instagram[1] in six years. They've been profiled by Huffpost[5] Metro UK[6] and the Daily Mail UK.
Personal Life
Geoffrey and Pauline Walker were married in 1951 and live in Coalville, Leicestershire. On November 27th, 2017, YouTuber user Lauren Bray uploaded a short video about Geoffrey and Pauline Walker's life (shown below). In February 2018, Geoffrey Walker published a book called "PARTED BY CONFLICT: From Budbrooke Barracks To China And Japan" about his and Pauline's letters to eachother during the war.[7]
