Jeff Goldblum is an American actor. He has starred in some of the most successful films of all time, including Independence Day and Jurassic Park.
History
Jeff Goldblum made his screen-acting debut in 1974's Death Wish. Throughout the 70s, he appeared in small roles in television and film, acting in Woody Allen's 1977 Oscar-winning film Annie Hall.[1]
In 1985, Goldblum starred in David Cronenberg's The Fly, his first starring role in a major motion picture.
Since The Fly, Goldblum has appeared in numerous blockbuster films, including Jurassic Park, Independence Day, Thor: Ragnarok and more. Additionally, he starred on Law & Order: Criminal Intent for 24 episodes.
Jurassic Park Shirtless Image
In 1993, Goldblum starred as Dr. Ian Malcolm in Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park, raising his star significantly. In the film, he appeared in one scene, lying on his side with his shirt unbuttoned. The moment has since spawned numerous gifs and meme (examples below).
In 2016, Goldblum and Jurassic Park co-star Sam Neill commented on the gif of Neill on Goldblum's stomach. Neill said, "It is stomach churning."[2] Goldblum discussed the memes on The Graham Show in 2016 (video below).
In 2018, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Jurassic Park, Sky's subscription television service Now TV installed a 25-foot statue of the image on the south bank of the Thames River in London, England.[3]
