Leandrinha Du Art is a Brazilian content creator, trans-woman, influencer and writer, as well as an LGBTQ+ and PwD (person with a disability) activist. She is known for her videos interacting with fans and followers and interviews in which talks about her life with a rare condition called Larsen Syndrome, which affects bone development. Since emerging online in mid-2017, Leandrinha has become the subject of ironic fandom memes and photoshopped images using her pictures.

Career

Born on March 28th, 1995, in Minas Gerais, Brazil, Leandrinha Du Art^[1] began her online career as an LGBTQ+ and PwD (person with a disability) activist in 2016. She debuted as a TV presenter on May 18th, 2016, for the Tombei program, a weekly interview show on local TV. Her first interview (shown below) was uploaded on the TVIndSOLPassos YouTube^[2] channel, which received roughly 1,200 views and 33 likes in seven years.

Leandrinha went viral on June 30th, 2017, after posting a video on her Facebook^[3] page in which she tells her life story and achievements as a transgender activist. The post (shown below) garnered over 4 million views and 61,000 likes in six years.

Online Presence

Online, Leandrinha started to get memed after her interview for the Poe Na Roda podcast on April 27th, 2023. In one moment of the interview, she tells a story about her first sexual experience with the most popular kid at her school. The full interview^[4] (shown below) garnered over 111,000 views and 3,600 likes in five months.

A few months later after the interview, on June 13th, 2023, TikToker^[5] @vitinho_brandao posted a stop-motion reenactment of Leandrinha's interview talking about her first sexual experience. The video (shown below) garnered over 207,000 plays and 42,000 likes in three months.

On June 22nd, Twitter^[6] user @pecadocomunal commented on the online mockery about Leandrinha's interview saying that "people were taking advantage of this case to be explicitly ableist" against the creator. The post (shown below) received roughly 5,700 views and 34 likes in three months.
