Sotce is an influencer and creator who produces content related to spirituality. She is best known for her TikTok, which combines lip-synching, memes, poetry, and dance to discuss practices like meditation and gratitude.
Career
Sotce started her TikTok posting in the fall of 2020, focusing on content related to meditation and spirituality following a stay at a monastery in Nepal. As of July 2023, she has over 412,000 followers and nearly 33 million likes on the platform.[1] Some of her earliest popular videos are meditation guides like the one seen below, posted on Novermber 10th, 2020 and receiving over 100,000 views and 20,000 likes.[2]

TikToks like the one below left, which was posted on October 27th, 2022 and received over half a million views and 93,000 likes in nine months, depict a melancholy and solitary Sotce.[3] Others, like the one shown below right, which received over 1.2 million views and almost a quarter of a million likes in the year after June 3rd, 2022, showed Sotce riffing on pre-established trends such as Hot Girl Summer. According to her publicist, Sotce’s aesthetic is a 2020s TikTok adaptation of a 2010s Tumblr aesthetic.[5] Her posts describing solitary afternoons and heartbreak are interspersed with self-help and therapeutic-style content. Sotce is also known for producing esoteric and surreal memes, posted to Instagram and to her personal site. Often, they feature food, horses, and spiritual messages. The meme below left was posted to her account @sotcememes on July 12th, 2023,[11] where it received over 15,000 likes, while the meme below right was posted on April 26th, 2022 to her account @sotce, where it received over 18,000 likes.[12]
