The video was originally posted to TikTok by user @dreams_dreams24 in March 2022, with a reupload posted on August 1st, 2025, with the Jet2 Holiday song causing a resurgence around the clip. Several internet users began jokingly referring to the young girl as "Junie B. Jones," a children's book character known for being a chaotic and disobedient young girl, and began posting "Final Girl" fan edits and "Where is her baddie chain" comments on the video-sharing app. The videos were subsequently reposted to Twitter / X and Instagram, where they gathered several million views apiece.

The video of a little girl dressed in a pink jacket walking up an escalator to pull on an older woman's hair was reportedly filmed at Manchester Arndale, a mall in Manchester, England, in March 2022. The video of the Pink Jacket Girl fighting in a U.K. mall was originally posted by TikToker^[1] @dreams_dreams24 on March 30th, 2022, showing mall security apprehending a young girl in a pink jacket alongside her family. The video gathered over 20 million views in three years and 450,000 likes in three years.

The TikToker^[2] reuploaded the clip of the little girl pulling on an older woman's hair on August 1st, 2025, gathering over 53 million views in three days. The video showed the little girl dressed in a pink jacket and holding a blue bag walking up an escalator and pulling on an older woman's hair before going back down the escalator with a smile on her face.

The video was reposted by @dreams_dreams24 three years after it was first recorded, after it was originally removed for violating TikTok's content guidelines.

The TikToker^[3] also posted another video showing the little girl hopping the escalator steps to escape from mall security and go the opposite way, gathering over 20 million views in a day.

On August 3rd, 2025, TikToker^[8] @editsbymar_18 posted another Final Edit featuring the Pink Jacket girl, gathering over 3 million plays and 600,000 likes in a day.
