Origin

On June 10th, 2024, TikToker @ayyoitstko^[1] interviewed a teen named Aiden in a toy store about what games they play. The teen replied with "Play Dress to Impress with my baddies on Roblox," which is a modeling simulator game on Roblox. The video (seen below) amassed more than 5 million plays and 836,000 likes in a month.

A few weeks after the interview was posted on TikTok, some users started to create fan edits and memes about the teen's reply. For example, on July 2nd, 2024, TikToker^[2] @ob9vion posted a fan edit of Aiden paired with the Nicki Minaj song "Wamables." The video (seen below, left) received more than 2.3 million plays and 530,000 likes in two days.

On July 3rd, 2024, TIkTok^[3] user @clouted_star posted a video lip-dubbing the teen's "play Dress to Impress with my baddies on Roblox" phrase (seen below, right), which garnered over 694,000 plays and 175,000 likes in a day.
