Pretty Humor or Pretty People Humor, also known as Pretty Girl Humor, is a slang term describing the type of humor that attractive people are perceived to enjoy and employ, including blunt references to memes and internet trends and random humor. The term is comparable to the idea of "normie humor." It was popularized on TikTok in August 2025 as users shared examples of what they see as pretty people humor to criticize the idea of pretty humor.

Origin

The idea that attractive people are unfunny has circulated online throughout the 2020s. For example, on December 1st, 2021, Redditor u/Mammoth-Beginning-56 made a post to the /r/unpopularopinion^[1] subreddit titled, "The majority of good looking people are not funny," garnering around 60 upvotes and 65 comments in four years.

On June 14th, 2025, TikToker^[2] @rgnam303 posted a clip of actress Sydney Sweeney during an interview with WMag^[3] playing with a "magic spinner" toy, repeatedly saying she would name it "Bob," the on-screen caption reading, "me in 3rd grade trying to make my classmates laugh," garnering over 14 million views in two months.

On July 29th, TikToker^[4] @girlbosimia posted a video set to the Sydney Sweeney audio, captioned, "when u meet a new person and realize they grew up pretty and end up having pretty humor," implying that Sweeney has "pretty people humor," garnering over 4.5 million views in a month.

In August 2025, TikTokers began posting videos making fun of examples of pretty humor. For example, on August 2nd, 2025, TikToker^[5] @fairy.d0lls posted a video of influencers Preslee and Embreigh referencing the Mama That Burn meme in conversation and laughing, captioned, "Pretty girl humor," garnering over 16.6 million views in about three weeks.

On August 5th, TikToker^[6] @rankingshiz posted a video ranking their top five examples of pretty humor, garnering over 2.7 million views in the same rough span of time.

On August 9th, 2025, TikToker^[7] @secretalinaaa posted a video sharing another example of pretty humor, in which Preslee and Emberleigh reference the Talking Bout Innit meme and Mama that Burn meme again, garnering over 11.5 million views in two weeks.

On August 20th, TikToker^[8] @hannahkiddspam posted a video where she talks about pretty humor and the differences between pretty humor in the U.S. versus the U.K., garnering over 175,000 views in a day.
