Put Your Dick Away, Walter or Put Your Dick Away, Waltuh is a viral audio clip where a voice actor playing Mike Ehrmentraut from Breaking Bad, also known in memes as Finger, tells Walter White to put his penis away and that he doesn't want to have sex with him. The audio clip, likely inspired by a May 2022 Waltuh 4chan shitpost, was shared on Twitter by @BreakingBadIrny in June 2022 and went viral over the following weeks, particularly on YouTube and TikTok.

Origin

On May 30th, 2022, an anonymous user of 4chan's^[1] /tv/ board posted a screenshot from Breaking Bad showing Mike, played by Jonathan Banks, grabbing Walter from behind, both of their eyes closed, writing, "mike… we can't." An anonymous user comments, "*whisper* waltuh…" followed by another comment, "No more half measures." The post is an example of the ironic Waltuh /tv/ thrend which involves parodying Mike Ehrmentraut's dialogue and mannerisms and which begun in 2018. On May 31st, iFunny^[2] userPrototypeGuts posted a screenshot of the thread, gaining over 4,200 smiles in two months (shown below).

On May 19th, Twitter^[3] user @houngsheldon posted a voiced-over meme showing Mike's head where a voice actor playing Mike says, "Walter… Put your dick away, Walter. I'm not having sex with you right now, Walter," garnering over 500 likes and 120 retweets in three months (shown below). On June 20th, Twitter^[4] user @BreakingBadIrny reposted the meme, garnering over 25,000 likes and 3,000 retweets in two months.

On June 24th, 2022, YouTuber^[5] Marilyn reposted the meme, gaining over 52,000 views in a month. On July 7th, TikToker^[6] @truefeman reposted the meme, gaining over 750,000 views in three weeks. The video's original sound became popularized that month, inspiring over 760 uses over the following weeks (examples shown below).

On July 16th, YouTuber^[7] Seedy posted a video voicing over the original 4chan meme, gaining over 404,000 views in two weeks (shown below, left). On July 23rd, YouTuber^[8] Moonatik posted an edit of Mike's death scene from Breaking Bad adding the audio clip, gaining over 130,000 views in three days (shown below, right).
