Quickdraw Unloading a Glock refers to a viral video of YouTuber TheGunHuddX quickly drawing a handgun from his waist and shooting it into a target at close range upon the signal. In late December 2023, the video achieved virality as a video and GIF caption meme, used similarly to the Navy Seal Stabbing a Dummy meme.

Origin

On August 27th, 2023, YouTuber[1] TheGunHuddX uploaded a YouTube Short titled "Fast Finger 🥶💨" in which he practiced his quickdraw skills at the target range. In the video, which consists of several clips, TheGunHuddX quickly draws his Glock sidearm upon hearing a signal and makes multiple shots at the target. The video (shown below) garnered over 84 million views on YouTube in six months.



On December 20th, 2023, Instagram[2] user cringeofthecastle posted the earliest discovered caption meme using the video. The post (shown below) garnered 430 likes in two months.

On December 27th, 2023, X[3] / Twitter user @niggativityy reposted TheGunHuddX's video, with the upload accumulating over 8.1 million views, 7,700 reposts and 66,000 likes in two months.

In late December 2023, the post achieved initial popularity as a meme format, with users quoting the video with humorous captions. For example, on December 28th, 2023, X[4] user @best_mane5 captioned the video, “excuse me sir your card decl-”, with the post garnering over 4,600 reposts and 44,000 likes in two months (shown below).


The video saw continuous usage as a caption format on social media in the following months. For example, on January 20th, 2024, X[5] user @FiRE2k__ made a joke referencing Counter-Strike that received over 410 reposts and 6,700 likes in one month (shown below).


On February 12th, 2024, following the release of Anthony Fantano's "Unreviewable" video on Kanye West's Vultures 1 album, X[6] user @notchr1stopher posted a caption meme that received over 2,100 reposts and 21,000 likes in 10 days (shown below).
