Roblox Baller is a video game boss character and playable class in the boss fighting Roblox experience "Boss Fighting Stages Rebirth" who attacks by throwing red dodgeballs at opponents. In October 2022, Baller became the subject of fan art and ironic memes when a TikToker posted a video telling people to "Stop Posting About Baller," parodying the Stop Posting About Among Us video.

Origin

Baller first appears in chapter four of "Boss Fighting Stages Rebirth," a Roblox^[1] experience where you fight enemies and bosses through a number of stages as a variety of character classes, created by SuperCloud9 on November 30th, 2013. Baller appears in the game with a red shirt, black pants and a smirk on his face (shown below). He appears as both a boss and playable character class and throws dodgeballs to attack. In the game's beta, Baller was seen as overpowered and nerfed in later builds.^[2][3]

Stop Posting About Baller

On October 3rd, 2022, TikToker^[4] @casanova_gaming_real posted a video consisting of several images of Baller where he monologues telling people to stop posting about Baller, parodying the viral "Stop Posting About Among Us" video (shown below). The post gained over 370,000 views in two weeks.

Baller became popularized on Twitter in October 2022 in fan art and shitpost-style memes. On October 9th, 2022, Twitter^[5] user @zoid_j posted an image and video of themselves taping an image of Baller to the Roblox HQ sign, garnering over 4,100 likes in a week. The original sound for @casanova_gaming_real's video also became popular on TikTok. For example, on October 13th, TikToker^[6] @devonclaude8 posted a video using the sound where his phone is themed like Baller, garnering over 270,000 views in five days (shown below, left). On October 15th, TikToker^[7] @.mdev reposted Twitter user @zoid_j's videotaping the image to the Roblox HQ sign, setting it to the sound, garnering over 1.1 million views in three days (shown below, right).

Two days earlier on October 13th, Twitter^[8] user @kacklebox_ posted a video showing off a Friday Night Funkin' player model for Baller, garnering over 1,500 likes in five days (shown below).

On October 17th, 2022, TikToker^[9] @c_marquez_ posted a video using the original sound, garnering over 1.3 million views in under 24 hours (shown below).
